STONE CIRCLE Writing Third Album – “SOUTH AMERICAN TOUR” Booked!!!

Fresh from amazing support shows for You Am I, Amy Meredith, & Shannon Noll (where the band set new merch sales records amongst their peers), & having already sold 1,500 copies of their second release “LIVING FOR THE SUNSHINE” since the independent album launch, there doesn’t seem to be any let up for the determined Perth, Australian band STONE CIRCLE.

A headline “Curtin Uni Beach Bash” – presented to over 1,600 students – cemented the group firmly in their place as one of the most sought after Western Australian rock acts. Not content with only rocking the stage, Stone Circle have also been tucked away writing new material for another studio effort…with rumors that it will be heavier, edgier, & contain a generous helping of anthemic choruses, soaring riffs, & tidy grooves. Craig Skelton, Stone Circle’s bassist & keyboard player, hints that a 2013 release is in the cards – but only once they have completed the next few months of live local gigs & an extensive South American tour beginning in April, 2012.

Here’s a taste of what’s in store for the remainder of March & April:

Friday, March 30th – Pioneer Village Primary School – Armadale – 6:30PM – FREE SHOW (Community charity event to raise funds for the school’s music department.)

Saturday, March 31st – Civic Hotel Band Room (Inglewood) – Perth, Australia – 6:00 PM

South American Tour:

Stone Circle depart Perth on 17th, heading to Argentina on April 17th, where they will play the “Niceto Club” in Buenos Aries on April 19th, 2012.  With a capacity of 2,000 people – playing in such a magnificent venue is almost unheard of for a relatively unknown band. Then it’s off to “Caracas” in Venezuela (for two days) to play a festival & sample the local cuisine.

From April 23rd, the band flies to Colombia to gear up for a run of dates that will make your mouth water: Hard Rock Café, The Ozzy Bar, & The Canterbury Bar in Bogota. Then it’s off to Holguin, Cuba for A WEEK of festival & media appearances…including a “Tree of Friendship” planting ceremony with members of the Cuban government & local officials, plus multiple radio interview & television appearances – including one national morning TV appearance.

STONE CIRCLE are Jeremy Harris (lead vocals), Craig Skelton (bass/keyboards), Scott Howe (guitar), & Derrin Kee (drums).

“Going on tour with Godsmack was a no-brainer!” says STAIND singer/guitarist/songwriter Aaron Lewis, “Our fans are in for one hell of a rock show!!!” GODSMACK frontman & songwriter Sully Erna says, “We’re very excited to get back out with our Massachusetts brothers again.  It’s been a pinch too long, & all hell is about to break loose!” Lzzy Hale of HALESTORM adds, “I am stoked to be supporting Godsmack & Staind on this tour! To be touring with the two bands of my generation, that paved the way for modern rock, is an honor.  This line-up will crush your skulls!”

The bands gave fans the chance to design a tour poster for the “Mass Chaos Tour” – via Creative Allies.  The winning designer will receive $500 & a ‘Prize Pack’.  Contest is NOW CLOSED, but to see all entries, please visit http://creativeallies.com/.

Staind’s latest release, the self-titled “STAIND”, is a return to the band’s heaviest roots & their most powerful, intense collection of songs to date.  Revolver Magazine called the album “a shocking, crushing tour de force”, & Loudwire declared – “The band has returned to the grittier, bottom-heavy, down-tuned sound that defined its commercial breakthroughs…1999’s ‘Dysfunction’ & 2001’s ‘Break the Cycle’.” STAIND – the band’s 7th studio album, debuted at #5 on the “Billboard Top 200″.  The debut single “Not Again” was the fastest rising single of the band’s career, hitting #1 on the ‘Active Rock Chart’ & staying there for eight consecutive weeks.  “Eyes Wide Open” debuted in the ‘Top 30′ – while still having a track in the ‘Top 5′.  In the span of their career, Staind has sold over 15 million albums worldwide…had nine “Top 10″ singles across multiple radio formats, with four of those songs hitting #1 – including the most-played rock song of the decade, “It’s Been Awhile”.

GODSMACK is considered to be one of the definitive alternative hardrock bands in contemporary music.  The band’s 13 year legacy – guided by fearless founder & frontman, Sully Erna – includes over 15 million albums sold…highlighted by scores of sold-out international concerts, countless successful tours, a remarkable 18 hit-singles mark, FOUR platinum records, one “GOLD EP”, & four Grammy nominations.  Godmack’s “THE ORACLE” (the band’s last album) debuted at #1 on the ‘Billboard Top 200′ chart, marking the third consecutive album in a row (by the band) to debut at #1.  Certified GOLD in the US, the album generated such hits as “Cryin’ Like A Bitch” & “Love-Hate-Sex-Pain”.  The band is currently working on a new release, slated for mid-2012.

Acclaimed as one of hardrock’s most explosive acts, Halestorm made a ‘Top 5′ debut on SoundScan’s “Hard Music Chart” – upon its 2009 release.  It simultaneously bursted into the ‘Top 40′ on the comprehensive “Billboard 200″.  The band’s follow-up album is set for release this spring.  Formed by frontwoman Lzzy Hale, & her brother/drummer Arejay Hale, Halestorm has made its bones as a major-league hardrock outfit via countless North American gigs alongside such like-minded artists as Shinedown, Avenged Sevenfold, Disturbed, & Stone Sour.
