JOHN TAGLIERI Hits Jackpot with “LUCKY #9″
Over the course of the past decade, singer/songwriter John Taglieri has made a name for himself in AOR, Americana, & modern rock circles. Striking again with his ninth release, Lucky #9, Taglieri has upped the stakes dramatically with this six song EP – from the driving chorus of opening track & first single “Losing Me” to the mid-tempo power balladry of “Without You“, then straight through to the acoustic-driven closer “Not Gonna Be My Life”.
Co-produced by Lee J. Turner (Darius Rucker, Jewel, Leann Rimes, Bo Bice), who also handles all the keyboards on the release…this is the first full-recorded effort coming out of Taglieri’s new Dawg Pound Studios. Aside from the keyboard parts, John once again performed every instrument on the release. Writing both alone, & with co-writers in Nashville & New Jersey, the EP is loaded with modernly aggressive rock rhythms tinged with splashes of country flavor…combining heartfelt songs that speak of everyday life. The collection shows a new growth & maturity in the songwriting, as well as Taglieri’s independence in production skill.
“I approached this EP a little differently.” says John, “Being my ninth release, I think I am more in tune with what I wanted to say as an artist. I wrote songs that really meant a lot to me right now in life, & tried to tell stories that would connect. Using my new studio, & working with Lee again, was awesome as well. There was a great vibe throughout the whole recording process. I’m very proud of ‘Lucky #9′, & hope people enjoy it.”
Lucky #9 releases on April 17th through “Leap Dog Music”, in digital-format only, & will be available through all major digital distribution sites, including: iTunes, eMusic, AOL, & many more.

THE RABID WHOLE Prep New Release “Refuge” for May 1st, 2012…
Electro alt-rockers The Rabid Whole – a.k.a. Toronto’s 21st century, high-energy orgasmic “Punch In The Face” – are proud to announce the release of their second full-length album “Refuge” for Tuesday, May 1st (Boonsdale Records).

Recorded & produced by Karl Schubach (Misery Signals/Solace), mixed by Dave Ogilvie (Jakalope/Nine Inch Nails/Marilyn Manson), & mastered by Noah Mintz (Broken Social Scene/Death From Above 1979), “Refuge” was written amidst a flurry of changes in The Rabid Whole’s line-up & sound – showcasing growth & an evident pushing of boundaries, when compared to the group’s 2009 debut release “Autraumaton”.
“The new album is an obvious shift in direction, sound, subject matter…we have settled more into our own sound, & the themes of the album are easy to relate to. The energy is up, the drumming is more intense, the guitars are louder, soft parts are softer, & the electronics are much more noticeable.” says vocalist/guitarist Andreas Weiss, “The Rabid Whole is providing an exit…an honest & refreshing alternative to the bullsh*t we’ve been fed…& it’s noticeable. Anyone that hears what we’ve come up with is (hopefully) going to have a hard time ignoring it.”
